Crisp: Korean Fried Chicken Wings and More in Chicago

People are going to hate this take but this fried chicken was one of the best I've had in Chicago!! It's a small place but a good bang for your buck, especially in flavor. The portions are huge, the staff is wonderful - the friendliest people ever, and they have free sauces at the table. It's more of a cafe style restaurant with open seating at picnic-style tables and barstools by the window. Perfect for something a little more casual

Crisp is an absolute treat! Their "jumbo wings" are actually just legs, but they're packed with incredible flavor. The garlic soy flavor is a must-try, perfectly balancing savory and sweet with a satisfying punch. The food came out pretty quick, but note that the jumbo wings take longer than the regular wings. The dining style features big, long tables, giving it a communal and relaxed vibe. It's a small spot, but the food is absolutely delicious and worth every visit. I've heard a lot of good things about this neighborhood icon but today was my first time trying it. I have no idea where they get their chickens, but they are so fresh and bursting with flavor. The jumbo wings are huge and cooked to crispy perfection. We ate in and enjoyed trying the different varieties of sauce. The bowls also looked so tasty. This is a high energy place and the buzz is all good. There is limited communal seating and we were lucky enough to snag a seat at the window.

Website doesn't work to take orders and they don't pick to the phone. 2 dudes chilling and slinging wings in a slow store. No real reason why they don't pick the phone...and one even tapped a laptop when I came in If the food wasn't so damn good I would have l given a low rating

Honestly, super unassuming but has a great priced humongous chicken sandwich that is enough for two meals worth. Huge portions! The "not so common" single chicken sandwich in kbbq is so juicy and crunchy. Plus my friend bought the fries and it was enough for 3 people. I liked the service there, there are napkins and bottles of sauce available so you're not wasting a bite without flavor. And the building was small as expected but it's the perfect sit down place to grab a quick bite with friends esp after work.

Such a great spot, but it is almost always busy so you have to snag a spot when you get there! You can order at the cashier for your food and we always get the Seoul Sassy chicken wings. The chicken wings come in 3, 5, and 10, but you will definitely be super full after 5 chicken wings. These wings are truly the meatiest wings in Chicago! You can't go wrong with any flavors, but I highly recommend the Seoul Sassy flavor!

I have had this place on my list for a couple years and finally found myself in the neighborhood to go! Definitely some food competition on the block but Crisp holds its own. I loved the customer service and friendly staff. They love what they do and seeing the customers enjoy their meals. I ordered a 5 piece, two sauce, wing meal. I opted in for the sassy and Korean bbq. The cashier was so generous and allowed me to get a sac sac for free just to see how I enjoyed it. My personal favorite sauce of the wings were the Korean bbq as it's spicy and sticky similar to a glaze. And it has a kick of spice/ heat which is needed. You don't get bored with this sauce. The wings were large but super crispy. I'll be back for sure!

Food: so flavorful! I ordered drumsticks and Buddha bowl. As a veggie lover, these veggies are perfect sides. Beware of the hot sauces if you are not used to them, pretty spicy. Portion is huge, can easily turn this into 2 relatively healthy meals. Service: I ordered takeout and it was fast. I saw other customers order and it was pretty fast too. Ambience: low light, cool music, tables are like family style. Ideal to hang with friends!
